A Thousand Ways to Help the Japanese Relief Effort
Japanese tradition holds that if you make a senbazuru (a thousand paper cranes) and make a wish after completing each one, your wish will come true. Each paper crane symbolizes luck, peace, and benevolence. With the recent devastating earthquake and tsunami in Japan there is great need for relief funding.
Come to Penguin Bookshop and purchase an oragami crane for $1.00 we will donate one-hundred percent of the proceeds to the American Red Cross. The American Red Cross is providing support and supplies to the Japanese people. Watch our windows as they fill with a thousand paper cranes!
