Quaker Valley Sixth Grader Places as Top Mathelete
A Quaker Valley Middle School student was a top finisher in the recent Calcu-Solve competition for fifth and sixth graders at Duquesne University. Sixth grader John Vorberger placed in the top 10 among 225 participants from 17 Allegheny County school districts.
Twenty-four Quaker Valley matheletes participated in the academic competition, which was sponsored by Upper St. Clair School District. The competition included 10 rounds of exceptionally challenging individual and team math problems.
