Center Township Woman Waives Hearing on Heroin, Drug Paraphernalia Charges
The following people have been charged and were scheduled for preliminary hearings at District Judge Robert Ford's office in Leetsdale.
A Center Township woman will stand trial on heroin possession and other charges.
Charges against Alyssa Rossi, 29, were waived to Allegheny County Court, including possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under the influence.
Sewickley police reported officers saw Rossi’s vehicle speeding Oct. 24 on Route 65 and crossing into the opposing lanes.
Police discovered a spoon, three needles and 15 stamp bags of heroin during a search of the car. Rossi was taken to Heritage Valley Sewickley hospital for a blood-alcohol test. The results were not reported.
The following people were also charged and scheduled for preliminary hearings Jan. 8 in Leetsdale District Court:
- David Dunton, 23, of Haugh Drive, McCandless, is charged with possession of marijuana, possession with intent to deliver, delivery and criminal use of a communication facility. Franklin Park police reported Dunton met an undercover officer twice, once on Aug. 10 and again on Aug. 24 in McCandless and sold 7 grams of marijuana each time for $120.
- Terese Duncan, 32, of Beaver Street, Leetsdale, charged by Leetsdale police with driving under the influence. Police stopped Duncan on Nov. 9 after her vehicle made a wide turn from Beaver onto Ferry Street. Police did not report blood-alcohol test results.
- Donny Bryant, 36, of Leetsdale, charged by Leetsdale police with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and harassment. Charges withdrawn.
- Angela Schmidt, 27, of Bethel Park, charged by Edgeworth police with theft, receiving stolen property, criminal trespass. Charges withdrawn.
