It’s Friday, and you're still trying to decide what to do for the weekend. You're in luck. Sewickley Patch is here with five ideas to enjoy.
1. Broadway Musical: 'The Story of My Life'
When/Where: 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2 and Saturday, Nov. 3 at Sewickley United Methodist, 337 Broad St.
Why Go: This Broadway musical performed by three veteran performers of the Erie Community Playhouse is in town for two days only. Proceeds support Center for Hope, an Ambridge-based community center and mission of several local churches.
Admission: $15 donation. Tickets available in advance and at the door.
When/Where: 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3 at the Sewickley Valley YMCA.
Why Go: This old-fashioned dance is open to Y-members and non-members. Wear your military uniform, if it still fits, or any era paraphernalia. Dance to the oldies but goodies, meet some new friends, and share light refreshments.

3. Pie Pastry 101 with Jeff Lemly
When/Where: 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3 at the Sewickley Public Library.
Why Go: Learn how to make pie pastry from scratch just in time for the holidays. Lemly will also bring samples of his homemade creations for everyone to try.
Admission: $10. Registration required.
When/Where: 6-8 p.m. Saturday Nov. 2 in the Quaker Valley communities.
Why Go: Don't let Superstorm Sandy cause you to miss all the tasty treats being passed out in the neighborhood this year.
Admission: Free.
5. St. James Parish Music Plus Series
When/Where: 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4 at the St. James Parish.
Why Go: This month's concert series features the Down by the Wayside Choir, from Louisville, KY. A pre-concert recital will be held from 2:30 to 2:50 p.m. featuring String Students of Joyce Wohlgemuth and Younga Reitz. Refreshments to be served.
Admission: Free. A free-will offering will be collected to support the choir's mission to serve the homeless and the addicted.
