I Made It! For Holidays Features Local Artists

I Made It! Market will host 'I Made It! for the Holidays' this Friday and Saturday in Pittsburgh, featuring artists from Sewickley and other local communities.

It's the holiday season in Pittsburgh's Bakery Square, and those headed that way can find a marketplace of locally-made goods and artwork—some from artists in Sewickley and the North Hills.

I Made It! Market is hosting "I Made It! For the Holidays" today, Friday, from 5 to 10 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 1, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Last year, more than 7,000 shoppers visited the two-day event. This year, artists and makers will again provide a wide variety of locally-made and hand-made good, including ceramics, housewares, jewelry, clothing, bath and body products, giftware, prints, letterpress, sweet treats, plush, children’s items and more.

Una Biologicals—owned by Jessica Graves of the North Hills—is an event sponsor and will have a booth at the holiday market. Una is a Sewickley favorite that has been carried in several local retail stores.

Also featured at the market is No Good Riding Hood, owned by Sewickley designer April McBain.

Many other local artists will participate as well. To see a list of all participating artists, see the I Made It! Market website.

Friday’s festivities also include the lighting of Bakery Square’s building in red to acknowledge World AIDS Awareness Day by the Delta Foundation. On Saturday, a pop up beer garden will be hosted by Tapped and Santa will be on site to pose for pictures.

Bakery Square is located at 6425 Penn Avenue in Pittsburgh. See the Bakery Square website for more information.

I Made It! Market is the brainchild of Brookline crafter Carrie Nardini. For more information about I Made It! Market, click here.
