A Moon Township resident has been charged with stealing money from his ill daughter's trust fund account. 

Mark Edward Piccolo, 53, formerly of Sewickley, been charged by the Allegheny County District Attorney's Office with felony theft by deception, and three counts of forgery, according to court records. 

Piccolo is accused of taking money from a trust fund established for his daughter's medical care, reports the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. 

The amount of money he reportedly stole was not immediately available. 

Court records show the alleged theft took place in 2009. He is scheduled to appear July 19 for a preliminary hearing.
