Quaker Valley High School has announced the 2012 Homecoming Court, which is made up of six seniors and representatives from the other three grade levels.

The Homecoming Court is comprised of Seniors Monica Felix, Molly Hill, Courtney Kroner, Kara Montanile, Abby Rausch and Rachael Skolnekovich as well as Laura Kuo, grade 11; Noelle Azzam, grade 10; and Bryn Tomczak, ninth grade.

The queen's court will be introduced and the Homecoming football game Saturday against Burgettstown and the homecoming queen will be crowned during halftime. Kickoff for Saturday’s game is 1:30 p.m. in Chuck Knox Stadium.

This year, the high school implemented a new method for nominating candidates to the court. In addition to self-nominations, each club and athletic team had the opportunity to nominate a representative candidate to the court.  Students chose to elect candidates based on the final list of nominations.

Homecoming weekend officially kicks off Friday, Oct. 19 with the annual Homecoming Dance in the high school gymnasium. The dance is sponsored by the junior class.
