Quaker Valley Ranks as Top District for Music Ed

The school district is awarded the distinction by a national music education nonprofit.

Communities in the Quaker Valley School District rank among the best in the nation for music education, according to the nonprofit NAMM Foundation.

The Quaker Valley School District is one of only 307 in the country to earn the distinction of "Best Communities for Music Education" from the foundation, according to an announcement form the school district.

Schools that demonstrate efforts towards maintaining music education are considered for the ranking. In addition to Quaker Valley, 35 other Pennsylvania school districts are included on the list.

In order to qualify for the list, school districts must submit to the foundation detailed information on funding, music class participation, instruction time and graduation requirements. The NAMM organization supports music education in school districts and other institutions across the country.
