Sewickley Woman in Two-Car Crash Died of Trauma

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's office ruled 20-year-old's death an accident.

An autopsy shows a Sewickley woman killed in a car crash Sunday died as a result of blunt force trauma to the head and trunk, according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's office.

Tess Raynovich, 20, of Sewickley, was fatally injured following a two-car crash at 10:30 a.m. Sunday in Ohio Township. She was later pronounced dead at 11:15 a.m. at Allegheny General Hospital.

Her death has been ruled an accident, the medical examiner's office said Tuesday.

Ohio Township police said Raynovich's car crossed into an opposing lane on Lowries Run Road and collided with another vehicle near the Green Valley Golf Course. Raynovich's vehicle was struck directly on the passenger side, police said.

Police said wet road conditions appeared to play a factor in the crash.

Raynovich was a 2010 Quaker Valley High School graduate.
