Special Agent from Attorney General’s Office to Speak on Drug Awareness and Teens
The program is open to all community members.
Youth Connect invites the community to attend an upcoming presentation about drug awareness and teens.
The Sewickley Police Department is sponsoring the evening with Richard Shaheen, senior supervisory special agent from the Pennsylvania office of the Attorney General’s Bureau of Investigative Services.
The drug awareness event will begin at 6 p.m. Feb 28, at Osborne Elementary School, 1414 Beaver St, and and will last 45 minutes to 1 hour.
According to Shaheen, the evening is appropriate for students in seventh grade through high school, as well as their parents and other interested community members.
Shaheen has presented at Quaker Valley School District functions in the past, and Youth Connect joins with the Sewickley Police Department in welcoming him back to the community to speak on this topic.
Youth Connect is a group of concerned adults and students from schools and organizations in the Sewickley-area working to provide the information, resources and support young people need to avoid risky behaviors and enjoy their teen years.
