I don't think it's Beaver - there wouldn't be trees in the middle of the roadway in the distance. There also appear to be hills in the distance behind the trees, possibly across the river. (?)
Not sure that it's Walnut and Thorn, either - depending on the year of the photo, wouldn't one of the buildings at that intersection be St. Matthew's AME Church? That building dates to 1911.
I agree with Renaldo that it's Walnut Street, or another street facing west.

I believe you are correct Lesley. Did some research. Sylvester C. Ritchey had a grocery on the corner of Broad and Beaver. Looks like the picture was taken in the A.M with the shadow from the one pole. I was trying to determine the address on the one building that appears to end in 05 next to the boy.

There are a lot of good guesses. The answer according to the photo is Beaver Street looking west from North Street.

Anyone who guessed Beaver and Broad (Lesley) was exactly right.
The caption to the photo reads: “There was no North Street. The (North Street) reference in this card is probably to Division Street, which enters on the left and follows a north-south line from the 1785 survey. The busy juncture of Broad and Beaver Streets has always been Sewickley’s Hollywood and Vine.
S. C. Ritchey advertises boldly on a building that will be redesigned in 1916 with a façade inspired by a London street.”
