Christian Bale isn't the only hot stuff in town.
Borough Manager Kevin Flannery said part of the filming will take place in Sewickley. The Sewickley Country Inn will be used for one day of filming. Flannery said the Paramount production crew plans to redecorate and paint signs at the inn, which closed in 2009.
MCM Ventures LTD, which owns the Country Inn property, has given permission to the film crew to paint and place signs at the site while shooting scenes there, Flannery said.
Film representatives are scheduled to meet at the site with borough officials today to go over details.
Filming starts in early October and will last about three months, but Police Chief James Ersher said the one-day film shot in Sewickley won't take place until November. In the shot, the "Top Gun" star will be filmed getting out of a car following an accident.
"He backs out and hits another car," Ersher said.
Ersher said Route 65 would be blocked off during filming, though he estimated the closing would only last about 10 minutes.
Filming is scheduled to begin about a week after the The Dark Knight Rises, starring Christian Bale, wraps up.
According to the Post Gazette, the film is expected to be released in February 2013.
