The Fair Oaks Volunteer Fire Department Station #46 has 20 active volunteer members and 10 inactive. The department is supervised by Fire Chief Mark Brooks and Assistant Fire Chief Nathan Turner. The department is subsidized partly by Leet Township, small grants and by various fundraisers. The department organizes such events as the annual Turkey Bingo event.
