Government Offices Closed
All government offices, post offices, state stores, courts, schools, libraries and most banks are closed in observance of Labor Day. The Allegheny County Port Authority will operate on a holiday schedule.Celebrate Labor Day at Henle Park
Bring blankets to the park from noon to 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 2 and enjoy the third annual Community Picnic as part of the last official days of summer. The splash pad will be open for the final time.
Pittsburgh Labor Day Parade
Pittsburgh's annual Labor Day parade starts at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 2 near Consol Energy Center and finishes at the Steelworkers Building. Some bus routes will be detoured during the parade.
The Allegheny County Port Authority will operate holiday bus, T and incline service; the customer service phone line (412-442-2000 or for TTY, 412-231-7007) will be available from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Downtown Service Center will be closed. Some routes will be detoured in Downtown Pittsburgh for the Labor Day parade, which will step off at 10 a.m. near the Consol Energy Center.
