This older gentleman came to Animal Friends during our New Year’s Eve Rescue in 2011. It’s hard to believe that he has been here for an entire year! Friendly and calm, he found shelter life a bit too stressful and has been living with a volunteer foster family while he is looking for his forever home. He is gentle and polite with other dogs and loves to be with people. While his eyes may have clouded a bit with age and his hearing isn’t quite what it used to be, we feel that ‘older and wiser’ dogs like Doc make terrific companions for those who prefer a quiet, laid-back lifestyle. Doc is sweet and very gentle. He loves treats and naps!
He did wonderfully on his trip to Linda Mitzel Photography Studio, even though he needed a little help getting up the stairs and into the car. He loved the attention and the treats.
While Doc has enjoyed his time with his foster family, it isn’t the same as having a family of his own. If you would like to meet him, please contact the Adoption department to schedule an appointment!
Doc has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. If you can help, come to Animal Friends at 562 Camp Horne Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237 or call 412.847.7002. You can also start your application online, so get started by clicking here!
