Animal Friends presents: Dodger!

Check back each week for more adoptable, adorable pets from Animal Friends!

Being left tied to a porch is certainly a strange way to start your new life, but that’s how it happened for poor Dodger. A previous owner tried to get Dodger placed in a good home but he was unable to find anyone to take this sweet guy in. He made sure Dodger had current shots and took care of him while he could, but he just couldn’t keep him.

Finally, it came down to a cold, windy night in January. Dodger was supposed to be dropped off with a new family who would love him and take care of him, but instead he was left tied to the porch in the cold. He was brought to Animal Friends shortly after and has been working on trusting people again.

Dodger, for all that he’s been through, is a friendly guy. He made an appearance at our St. Pitty’s Day event and said hello to everyone he could. He likes being outside and going for walks. He doesn't know how to play with toys but we’re sure he’d love to have someone teach him how.  We’d recommend that he go to a home where he could be the only pet and get all of the attention of his new family.
