UNION AID SOCIETY ANNUAL COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING PROGRAM

The Union Aid Society is organizing its annual Thanksgiving food program for 2013.  Please pluck a “turkey” from a gift tree and purchase a grocery store gift card to benefit a family or individual in need.  The organization is counting on the continued generosity of the community to help neighbors this holiday season.

“Turkey Trees” are located at the YMCA, Sewickley Library and Safran’s Market, Pendelton, Sewickley Confectionary and Sincerely Yogurt.  Please help a neighbor this Thanksgiving by stopping at one of these locations and taking a “turkey” tag for a family in need and  send your donated gift card by November 18th to the Union Aid Society office at 601 Thorn St., Sewickley 15143. You may also donate online through the agency’s website www.unionaidsociety.org or send a check to the Union Aid office.

The Union Aid Society is a local non-profit that has been serving the area for over 115 years.  It provides emergency financial assistance for families and individuals in need that live in the 11-community Quaker Valley School District.  Help can range from financial assistance for immediate emergency needs to affordable apartments for older adults.   Contact the Union Aid Society office at 412.741.9240 or www.unionaidsociety.org for additional information.
