Vintage Picnic Recipes

Do you have a family picnic recipe handed down through the generations?

If so, share it with us! Here is a Fruit Salad Dressing recipe from my great aunt from the 1930s or 1940s. I know the family attended many picnics and church suppers, so I'm guessing this recipe got a lot of use:

juice of 2 lemons
juice from 1 can of pineapple
2 T. flour
pinch of salt
4 T. melted butter
beaten yolks of 2 eggs

Mix ingredients together and boil in a double-boiler until thick. When cool or ready to serve, add 1 cup of whipped heavy cream (or whipped topping).
