Celebrate the Holidays at Mary Roberts Rinehart Park

The "Winter Event" will be held from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10.

Take a break from the hustle and bustle of holiday shopping and head on down to the "," a relaxing Saturday afternoon of community fun in .

The day's activities run from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., are open to all, and include holiday music and caroling, bird feeder ornaments, story-telling and refreshments by the bonfire. 

"This 'Winter Event' is part of our annual summer, fall, winter, spring series and is open to the public at no cost," said Natasha Green, a board member of the Osborne Trail and Park Association.

The board is supplying natural materials for children to craft the ornaments, and Chab Guthrie will provide story-telling. Guthrie also took part in the "." 

Green said the event is sponsored by the MRR Board as a "thank you to the community for their support of the park."

The nature park, named after noted mystery writer Mary Roberts Rinehart, has been reclaimed from invasive plant species and years of neglect through the efforts of volunteers and grantors. The park is located next to in .
