Hippity Hoppity: Meet the Easter Bunny and Hunt for Eggs

Check out our list of local Easter egg hunts and breakfasts. You also can plan your visit with the Easter Bunny this year.

Here are some upcoming Easter eggs-travaganzas for you to hop on over to and enjoy in the next couple weeks.

When/Where: Noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at the . Kids can collect Easter eggs from noon to 1 p.m. in the large pool in exchange for prizes. From 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. enjoy snacks and from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. kids can enjoy face painting, crafts and other activities.

Admission: $5 for members/$6 nonmembers.

When/Where: 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 31, at Municipal Building, 349 Magee Road.

Enjoy breakfast, crafts and an egg hunt for children of all ages. Bags will be provided, no baskets please. Be sure to bring a camera for pictures with the Easter Bunny.

Admission: $5 for adults (or $6 for adults who don't pre-register) and $3 for children 12 and under. Pre-register by Wednesday, March 28, by calling 412-741-4891 or email sewickleyhillsborough@comcast.net.

 

Easter Bunny Visits Wolcott Park

When/Where: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 31. The Easter Bunny is coming to Wolcott Park (the Sewickley Public Library in case of rain.)

The Easter Bunny is coming to town again this year to have his picture taken with children. The event is sponsored by and all kids are invited.

Admission: The events are free and pictures will be emailed to families.

 

When/Where: 10 a.m. Saturday, March 31. at War Memorial Park, Blackburn Road, Sewickley.

All children ages 10 or younger are invited to participate in the Egg Hunt. The event is sponsored by .

Admission: Free.


When/Where: 3 p.m. Sunday, April 1, at Henle Park.

Join the Recreation Board for its annual Easter egg hunt and visit with the Easter Bunny. Event hosted for children 10 and under. Treats and drinks will be provided, along with prizes and lots of fun.

Admission: Free.

 

Reilly’s Summer Seat Farm Easter Egg Hunt in Bunnyland

When/Where: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, March 31 and April 6, and Saturday, April 1 and 7, at Summer Seat Farm, 1120 Roosevelt Road.

This spring festival includes an Easter egg hunt and a hayride to Bunnyland, where children can meet the Easter Bunny. Festival also includes refreshments, face painting, games and farm animal visits. When kids find 10 eggs, they receive a coupon for an Easter basket.

Admission: $6.75 for each child participating in the Easter egg hunt. Those not hunting for eggs will be charged a $3 fee. No reservations needed.

 

Animal Friends' Meet and Greet with the Easter Bunny 

When/Where: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 31, at Mt. Nebo Point Shopping Center, Mt Nebo Pointe Road and Lowries Run Road.

In addition to the Big Bunny himself, some Animal Friends Bunny residents will be there to meet and greet everyone.  Stores in the shopping center are participating  in an Easter egg hunt as well, so make sure to bring your baskets!  For more information, contact Stephanie Buckley at sbuckley@thinkingoutsidethecage.org

 

When/Where: 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 7, at  in Leet Township. 

Children of all ages are invited to bring their baskets and participate in an Easter egg hunt. Treats and prizes will be awarded. Benefits Rabbit Wranglers

When/Where: 1 p.m. Saturday, April 7, at in Sewickley.   

Admission: Free.

 

 

Lunch with the Easter Bunny

When/Where: 12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 7, in Blueberry Hill Park Activity Center. The entire family will enjoy a lunch of hamburgers (vegan burgers available if marked on registration sheet) or hot dogs, chips, a cookie and a drink. After lunch, children 12 and under can have their picture taken with the Easter Bunny, play a variety of games and work on a craft project. From here, children can join in the annual "Easter Egg Hunt."

Admission: Pre-registration by April 4 is $6 per person. Day of registration fee will be $7 per person. View or download the registration form here.

 

Easter Egg Hunt in Blueberry Hill Park

When/Where: 2 p.m. Saturday, April 7, at Blueberry Hill Park baseball fields in Franklin Park.  Be sure to bring a basket or bag to put your filled eggs, candy and prize eggs in. Pre-registration is not required. For children ages 12 and under -- and parents.

Admission: Free.

 

Animal Friends' Breakfast with the Rabbits

When/Where: 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 7, at Animal Friends. Join Animal Friends for a scrumptious breakfast (vegetarian options available) paired with a bun run (rabbit recess) for the shelter rabbits.

Registration is required, so call 412-847-7055 to save your spot, or click here. For the safety of the bunnies, please leave your pet at home. 

Admission: $10 adults; $5 children under 10.

 

Easter Bake Sale

When/Where: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 7, at Animal Friends.
Animal Friends' volunteer bakers have been very busy baking up some of their most-prized family recipes to share with you and yours for the Easter holiday. Proceeds benefit Animal Friends.
