Leetsdale Borough to hold its 68th annual 4th of July Celebration

The Leetsdale 4th of July Committee proudly announces the 68th annual Leetsdale 4th of July celebration will be held on July 4, 2011 from 10am to 10pm in Leetsdale, Pennsylvania. The event will include a parade, party in Henle Park and fireworks by Zambelli Fireworks at dusk.

The parade will begin at 2pm with a route starting at Quaker Village Shopping Center, traveling down Beaver Street toward Ambridge, looping back up Broad Street, and ending at Henle Park.  The parade will include classic cars, restored military vehicles, fire trucks, the University of Pittsburgh Drum Line and the Quaker Valley High School Marching Band.

Grand Marshall for this year’s parade will be Mr. Harry Mason.  Mr. Mason, who enlisted in the Air Force during his senior year of high school and served from 1945-1948, was stationed in Panama during his time in the service. A life-long resident of Leetsdale, he has been an active member of the Leetsdale Fire Department since 1948, and currently heads up their efforts with the Leetsdale Food Pantry.
