Get Out: Carnival for the Cure or Maple Sugar Celebration

Why Go: The public is invited to  about anxiety and depression in children and adolescents. The event is presented by Youth Connect.

Admission: Free.

 

When/Where: 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. tonight at .

Why Go: Join in the fun with carnival games, face painting, crafts, prizes and food. Donations will benefit the , which benefits the American Cancer Society.

Admission: $5 requested donation per family.

 

When/Where: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m today and Saturday; 10 a.m. to  6 p.m.  Sunday at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, Pittsburgh.

Why Go:  Don’t miss your last weekend to see 1,500 exhibits at the convention center. Highlights include a curated exhibit of  royal dresses and personal possessions of beloved princess “Diana, The People's Princess."

Admission: $10/adults; $4 children 6-12; free under 6. Buy discount tickets at the Home Depot and save $1.50.

 

When/Where: 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturday at , Sewickley Heights.

Why Go: Enjoy a delicious breakfast of traditional or buckwheat pancakes with Pennsylvania maple syrup while learning about the history and traditions of maple sugaring.  Tree tapping, children’s activities, raffles, and more. Seatings available every half-hour.

The Trial of Goldilocks

When/Where: 7 p.m. tonight and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday in the high school auditorium at Cornell High School, Coraopolis.

Why Go: The high school drama club presents "The Trial of Goldilocks," a performance based on the classic kid’s story.

Admission: $5 adults/$3 students and seniors. Call 412-264-5010, ext. 238. 

 

When/Where: 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday at , 114 Port Vue Drive, Moon.

Why Go:  Join an educational music class with your child and see what the fun is all about.

Admission: First class free. Newborns to 5 years accompanied by a caregiver.

 

Second Annual Spaghetti Dinner

When/Where: 3 p.m., 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday, , 1443 Coraopolis Heights Road, Moon.

Why Go: Enjoy a spaghetti dinner complete with a salad, garlic toast, a dessert and beverage. Dinner choices include meat or marinara. Takeout dinners can be picked up between 3 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
