Organizers Plan Second 'Save the Pink House' Meeting Thursday in Sewickley

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the community room at the Sewickley Public Library.

A second community action meeting aimed at preserving Sewickley's "pink house" is planned for 7 p.m. Thursday in the . 

The "Save the Sewickley Pink House" meeting is open to the public and  when attendees received a history overview of the home. 

Attendees are again asked to bring ideas and enthusiasm to help persuade  to save the Pink House at 202 Beaver St.

Nearly 800 people have signed a petition to preserve the house. Most recently, protestors on Saturday night cordoned off the home with pink ribbon and taped signs around the property urging the church to save the home.

The Presbyterian Church, Sewickley closed on the home March 13 with to raze the house and build a new youth and education center on the site. Church leaders have  in order to meet with the community at 7 p.m. April 10 to review the plans and answer questions.
