Sewickley Easter Events: Easter Bunny, Breakfasts and Egg Hunts

Hop on over to these upcoming Easter events.

Several Easter events are planned in the Sewickley area this month, including a basket hunt, Easter bunny breakfasts and a swimming Eggs-travaganza.

 

Sewickley Hills Easter Breakfast and Egg Hunt

When/Where: 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 23, at Sewickley Hills Municipal Building, 349 Magee Road.

Children of all ages can enjoy breakfast, crafts, games and an egg hunt at the seventh annual event. Bags will be provided for the egg hunt, no baskets please. Be sure to bring a camera for pictures with the Easter Bunny.

Admission: $5 for adults (or $6 for adults who don't pre-register) and $3 for children 12 and under. Pre-register by Wednesday, March 20, by calling 412-741-4891 or email sewickleyhillsborough@comcast.net.

 

St. James Annual Egg Hunt at War Memorial Park

When/Where: 10 a.m. Saturday, March 23 at War Memorial Park, Blackburn Road, Sewickley.

All children ages 10 or younger are invited to participate in the Egg Hunt sponsored by Knights of Columbus of St. James Parish. Bring a basket or bag.

Admission: Free.

 

Northway Sewickley Valley Easter Egg Hunt

When/Where: 10 a.m. Saturday, March 23, at Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church of Sewickley, 801 Beaver St.

All are welcome to join Northway Sewickley Valley for an Easter egg hunt. There will be games and activities for children and adults. Northway will provide a cookout lunch, and families are encouraged to bring a side dish or dessert to share. Children should bring a basket or bag to collect eggs.

Sewickley Valley YMCA Easter Eggstravaganza

When/Where: Noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 23, at the Sewickley Valley MCA. The large pool will be filled with colorful Easter eggs kids can collect from noon to 1 p.m. in exchange for prizes. From 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. enjoy a light snack and painting a papier-mâché egg.

Admission: $5 for members/$6 nonmembers. All ages, but for safety reasons children under 9 or non-swimmers must be accompanied by an adult in the water.

 

St. Matthews Annual Easter Egg Hunt

When/Where: 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 23, at St. Matthews AME Church in Sewickley.   

Children of all ages from the public are invited to enjoy an Egg Hunt. The event, hosted by the St. Matthews A.M.E. Zion Church Christian Education Department, includes God's Word, games, crafts and prizes.

Admission: Free.

 

Reilly’s Summer Seat Farm Easter Egg Hunt in Bunnyland

When/Where: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 23 and Sunday, March 24 and March 29 and 30 at Reilly’s Summer Seat Farm, 1120 Roosevelt Road.

This spring festival includes an Easter egg hunt and a hayride to Bunnyland, where children can receive a cute basket and meet the Easter Bunny. Festival also includes refreshments, face painting, games and farm animal visits.

Admission: $7 for each child participating in the Easter egg hunt. Older children and adults taking the trip to Bunnyland, but not hunting for eggs will be charged a $3 fee. No reservations needed.

 

Mt. Nebo Pointe Spring Festival

When/Where: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 23, at Mt Nebo Pointe Shopping Center on Mt Nebo Pointe Road and Lowries Run Road. 

Kids of all ages are invited to start at space E-14 (next to the Dollar Tree store) where they can decorate their own Easter Bag, then hop to participating stores to collect kid-friendly prizes. Stores include Target, Liberty Mutual, Sprint, Sports Clips, The Dollar Store and Schoolbelles. Complimentary balloon animals, face painting, photographs with the Easter Bunny and Touch-A-Truck are also planned. The Western PA Humane Society will be in space E-14 with live bunnies and information about pet ownership. WDVE 102.5 FM will broadcast live from the shopping center.

Admission: Free.

 

HealthSouth Sewickley Annual Easter Egg Hunt 

When/Where: 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 30, at HealthSouth in Leet Township. 

Children of all ages are invited to bring their baskets and join an Easter egg hunt and have photos with the Easter Bunny at HealthSouth. The event includes a raffle, prizes, games and more.

Admission: Free. Rain or shine. Call 412-741-9500 to RSVP.

 

Leetsdale Recreation Board Easter Egg Hunt

When/Where: 1:45 p.m. registration begins Saturday, March 30, at Henle Park in Leetsdale.

Join the Leetsdale Parks & Recreation Board for its annual Easter egg hunt and visit with the Easter Bunny. Event hosted for children 11 and under. Treats and drinks will be provided, along with prizes and lots of fun.
