St. Stephen's Side by Side Ministry to Hold Back 2 School Boutique

Side by Side ministry will host a Back 2 School Boutique this Monday, Aug. 27 from 6-9 pm in the church lobby.

Single mothers with school-aged children are welcome to attend the event, which will allow them to pick up donated clothing and school supplies free of charge. There will also be activities for kids while mothers shop at the boutique.

This will be the first year that Side by Side ministry has hosted the Back 2 School Boutique and the women involved in the ministry are thrilled at the number of donations they received.

"The community was so generous, the two coat rooms at St. Stephen's are filled with donations!" said Jenni Bartling, co-chair of the boutique.

Side by Side was created in 2009 by Andrea Zimmerman, the wife of the then assistant rector to serve and empower single moms. The ministry also offers dinners, presentations and mentors to single mothers in the area.
