Ticking off the Time to Turkey Day: Family Fun

What does your family do early on Thanksgiving Day while the turkey's roasting? We want to hear your plans, from Turkey Bowl football games to walks through the crunchy leaves.

It's the reason we buy cute furry trapper hats and colorful sweaters. We want to look festive in an autumn sort of way when we head out Thursday morning for some pre-feast exercise.

We know darned well that no amount of running around the football field or hiking in the woods is going to make up for the 1.2 million calories we will soon consume, but we should get points for good intentions.

Some families stay inside and watch the parades, others go to church services and still others go outside and jump in piles of leaves. Dogs are fond of this Thanksgiving morning activity, as they grow bored waiting for the Snoopy blimp to float by on TV.

What does your family do early on Thanksgiving day? Write and tell us. We're always looking for an excuse to get out of the house. If we don't get away from that yummy turkey smell we might eat the tops off all the dinner rolls.
