No Kiln? No Problem: PMC Jewelry the DIY Way

PMC (Precious Metal Clay) is an amazing material that is worked like a water-based clay but fires to pure silver with a kiln or torch. If buying a kiln isn’t in your immediate future, this workshop is perfect for learning about a surprisingly versatile alternative: a simple, inexpensive, and readily available butane torch. Demos will show how to make projects such as earrings, pendants, or rings, and how to fire, polish, and patina jewelry for a beautiful finish. Also learn other techniques possible with a butane torch, such as fusing jump rings closed, joining elements with solder, and more. A $55 materials fee is payable to the instructor at the first class. Registration is required. Member tuition is $75 and $100 for non-members. This class runs from May 8 till May 22, 6:30 - 9:30 pm.
