Oscar Winning Movies at the Library

In 1941 the film, How Green Was My Valley, was nominated for 10 Academy Awards and won in 5 categories including Best Actor, Best Picture and Best Supporting Actor. In this film, a man looks back on his life as a boy in a small Welsh mining town. His reminiscences reveal the disintegration of his closely knit family while capturing the sentiments and issues of the time. (NR, 118 min, 1941) No registration is needed.
