Rune Release Party
Rune magazine is the student literary magazine at Robert Morris University. Rune accepts poetry, short stories, dramatic writing, and other writings along with photography and art from both the Robert Morris and Pittsburgh communities. Rune is open to all fields of study within Robert Morris and all students are encouraged to participate and contribute in Rune’s growing and exciting future. Come to the Penguin Bookshop to celebrate the newest issue!
Joseph Bathanti, the featured reader for the evening, is the author of six books of poetry: Communion Partners;Anson County; The Feast of All Saints; This Metal, nominated for the National Book Award, and the Winner of the Oscar Arnold Young Award; Land of Amnesia; andRestoring Sacred Art, winner of the 2010 Roanoke Chowan Prize. He also teaches fiction and creative nonfiction in the Carlow University low residency MFA program in Creative Writing.
