Sewickley Academy & Penguin Bookshop Present Alton Brown

There is simply nobody else like Alton Brown with his wildly inventive, science-based, food loving spirit! Good Eats, Brown’s Food Network series which enjoys a 14-year run, has won a Peabody Award and the 2011 James Beard Award. Alton is also the food historian, scientist, and color commentator on the popular show Iron Chef America.

Hundreds of photos, drawings and stills from his show accompany the more than 200 recipes in Brown’s latest cookbook: Good Eats 3: The Later Years. In typical Alton style, the cookbook tackles topics like homemade marshmallows in "Puff the Magic Marshmallow" or how to make dill pickles called "Dillicious." Home chefs and fans won't be disappointed because he serves up plenty of "Altonisms" through cooking tips, trivia, and of course his science food facts.

Don't miss this fun evening and rare Pittsburgh appearance by the country's favorite foodie!
