Wednesday Afternoon Pottery Studio

This class is part of Act 48 Hours for Ceramics Classes. Participants will learn a variety of advanced techniques in hand building and wheel throwing, glazing and surface treatments that will aid in curriculum development. Participants will complete several pieces of ceramics that they may use as examples in their classrooms, an will learn how to properly load and unload a kiln, fire green ware vs bisque ware, etc. Finally, participants will learn additional models and vocabulary for incorporating critical response into their classrooms.

Participants taking classes for Act 48 credit must attend all classes. In order to take a class for Act 48 credit, participants must notify Sweetwater prior to the start date of the class. Call to register.  

There will be no class on March 14.
