Rain or Not, Fern Hollow Fall Music Festival Ready to Rock

The 12th annual music event is Saturday.

Organizers of Saturday's annual Fall Music Festival at Fern Hollow Nature Center would prefer sunshine, but are prepared for inclement weather with meteorologists predicting showers and a possible thunderstorm before 3 p.m.

"We have a huge tent for Saturday," said Sam Capezzuto, Fern Hollow executive director. "We're praying for sun, but ready for anything Mother Nature throws our way."

Rain or shine, the 12th annual festival kicks off at 3 p.m. and will feature local musicians Open Mic, Leap of Faith and headlining band, The Honeyriders.

Attendees can look forward to a self-guided nature walk, children's activities, face painting, and food provided by Sewickley Confectionery, QV Lemonade Stand, Schearer's Kettle Corn, and BRGR.

Proceeds from the Fall Music Festival will fund Fern Hollow’s education activities, which include more than 60 programs for local schools and monthly programs for adults and families.

Admission is $35 for adults and $20 for kids (5 and under free). Fern Hollow members will receive a $10 discount until 5 p.m. Friday.

Advance tickets can be ordered online by clicking here or purchased at Fern Hollow. Tickets will also be available at the door. Gates open at 2:30 p.m. For more information call 412-741-6136.
