Familiar Faces: Emily Dora
The artist and teacher believes everyone is creative enough to be an artist. She knows just how we can start.
For as long as she can remember, Emily Dora has wanted to create and teach art.
The daughter of artists, Dora, 24, is a teacher at . An art education graduate of Carlow College, her favorite classes are those that open the world of art to youngsters, such as "Art Around the World" and "Life as an Artist," both camps that allow students to sample the art of different cultures.
Recently, students in her "Art Around the World" class made Hopi cochina dolls as part of their study of indigenous cultures.

Eschewing canvas and canvas board because of their rough textures, Dora uses plain cardboard. She never tires of applying the thick, opaque acrylic paint to the smooth surface.
