Mame

When/Where: 7 p.m. today, Friday March 8 and Saturday, March 9 at Sewickley Academy in Rea Auditorium. 

Why Go: Sewickley Academy’s Senior School musical – Mame – is based on the 1955 novel Auntie Mame by Patrick Dennis and a 1956 Broadway play by Lawrence and Lee that starred Rosalind Russell.

Author Casey Barber

When/Where: 2 p.m. Saturday, March 9 at Penguin Bookshop.

Why Go: Casey Barber, author of "Classic Snacks Made from Scratch," is a freelance food writer, recipe developer and editor of Good. Food. Stories. She will be bringing homemade classic snacks to this kid-friendly author-signing.

Admission: Free.

 

Learn the Art of Ukranian Egg Decoration

When/Where: 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 9 at the Sewickley Public Library.

Why Go: Participants of all ages will learn to write (decorate) an egg from start to finish in an afternoon.  This is a great project for parent and child although adult is not required.  Limited enrollment.

March Mad Dash

When/Where: 9 a.m. Saturday, March 9 at North Park Boathouse, Allison Park.   

Why Go: Proceeds from the a 10-mile, 5-mile, 5K run/walk will support teens helping others through youth outreach and service projects at St Paul's United Methodist Church of Allison Park.
