Why Go: Support Fern Hollow's biggest fundraiser for environmental education with music by The Redwood Trio, Leap of Faith, The Turpentiners, and Pries, Sage, Roots, and Soul. Doors open at 2:30 p.m.



Pittsburgh Steelers Season Opener

When/Where: 4:25 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, on your couch.

Why Go: Steelers Nation will no doubt be watching as Pittsburgh takes on the New York Jets this weekend at Heinz Stadium. If you don't have tickets and don't want to cheer alone at home, you'll surely find good company at Sharp Edge, Sidelines, Marroni's, Pizza Roma, and plenty of other local watering holes.

Jersey Boys

When/Where: 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14; 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15; and 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16 at the Benedum Center, Pittsburgh.

Why Go: This popular musical about is getting rave reviews! Show runs through Sept. 23.
