It’s Friday, and you're still trying to decide what to do for the weekend. You're in luck. Sewickley Patch is here with five ideas to enjoy.


1. Breaking Dawn Part 2 Release Party

When/Where: 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9 at the Sewickley Public Library.

Why Go: Join other eager fans for a screening of Breaking Dawn from The Twilight Saga.

2. Passion to Fashion Art Exhibition 

When/Where: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10 and Sunday, Nov. 11 at the former Travelwares site, 429 Broad St., Sewickley. 

Why Go: Local artist Cindy Engler will showcase her artwork, with new and unseen pieces included in the show.

Admission: Free.

 

3. Unique Boutique

When/Where: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10 at the Edgeworth Club. 

Why Go: Browse and shop a wide variety of merchandise and products from more than 50 vendors. 

Admission: $10 or $35 for admission and lunch. The buffest lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and reservations are required. 

4. Storywalk at Edgeworth Elementary

When/Where: 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10 at Edgeworth Elementary School, 200 Meadow Lane. 

Why Go: Stop by the Edgeworth Elementary School to hear stories and make some fun crafts.

Admission: Free. Bring a T-shirt or pay $5 for one at the event. 

 

5. American Diabetes Association EXPO

When/Where: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh.

Why Go: The event is free and includes health screenings, healthy cooking demonstrations, educational workshops, and activities that emphasize healthy eating and physical activity for all ages. Leading experts will be on hand to discuss diabetes management and prevention.

Admission: Free.
