1. Heather B. Moore - Trunk Show

When/Where: 9:30 a.m. Friday, April 12, at Orr's Jewelers, 532 Beaver St., Sewickley.

Why Go: Heather Moore Jewelery is a personalized collection with each name, date and symbol hand stamped with vintage tooling and made to your specifications with recycled precious metals.

Admission: Free.


2. Anything Goes

When/Where: 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 12 and Saturday, April 13 in the high school auditorium, 625 Beaver St., Leetsdale. A 2 p.m. matinee also Saturday.

Why Go: The cast has worked hard and practiced endlessly to present Anything Goes,” a high sea, high-energy tale of love, laughter and mistaken identity.

Admission: Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students and senior citizens, with all seats reserved. If available, tickets will be sold at the door beginning at 6 p.m. prior to the show.


3. Sewickley Farmer's Market

When/Where: 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays through October in the parking lot at Saint James Parish, Sewickley.

Why Go: The farmer's market opens the first weekend in April. Time to get fresh flowers, hot foods and organic, pasture-raised and all-natural produce.

Admission: Free

 

4. Doug Millar Spin-a-Thon Rescheduled

When/Where: 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 13 in the Cycle Studio at the Sewickley Valley YMCA.

Why Go: The Spin-a-thon benefits the Changing Lives Campaign, the YMCA's scholarship fund. The event includes a gift, refreshments, chair massages and prize drawings.

Admission: $50 pledge to ride.


5. Dog Tales 

When/Where: 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 14 at the Sewickley Public Library.

Why Go: Children can read to a certified therapy dog during this regular event at the library. Reading sessions are held in 15-minute intervals. Ages 4 to 10, with an adult. To register, call the Children's Department at 412-741-0937.
