Carnival for a Cure

When/Where: 7 p.m. tonight, Feb. 22 at the Edgeworth Elementary School.

Why Go: This family fun event features carnival games, spin art, line dancing, prizes and more. Proceeds benefit the QV Relay for Life.

Admission: $5 per family.

 

Chef Martin Yan

When/Where: 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23 at the Market District store in Wexford (Pine Township).

Why Go: The celebrated Chinese master chef, host of more than 3,000 cooking shows and author of 30 cookbooks will conduct food demonstrations.

The Collision

When/Where: 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23 at the Moon Run Fire Hall, 5624 Steubenville Pike in Robinson Township. 

Why Go:  The classic rock concert fundraiser featuring the Collision is part of the Robinson Township EMS capital campaign to replace aging equipment

Second Annual 'Jams for Jimmy'

When/Where: Doors open at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23 with music from 1 to 11:30 p.m. at the Bridgeville Volunteer Fire Department’s Chartiers Room.

Why Go: The family of Jimmy Slack is organizing a charity concert to remember the Bridgeville man who died after attending a concert on the North Side of Pittsburgh last year. 

Admission: $20. Must be 18.

 

Trio Verlaine

When/Where: 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24 at St. James Church, 200 Walnut St., Sewickley. 

Why Go: Trio Verlaine consists of the principal flute of the Pittsburgh Symphony, principal harp with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and a violist who teaches at Carnegie Mellon University. Enjoy a 2:30 p.m. pre-concert by Debbie Silverstein, directing the Beaver County Flute Choirs.

Admission: Free.
