Sewickley Chocolate Walk Coming Just in Time for Valentine's Day

Sample chocolates while visiting businesses during this sweet event. Tickets are on sale now.

Satisfy your sweet tooth in Sewickley this Valentine's Day.

Tickets are being sold now for the inaugural Sewickley Chocolate Walk, which takes place on Wednesday, Feb. 13.

Alex DeLoia of Village Green Partners said the Chocolate Walk runs from 5 to 7 p.m. as part of continuing efforts to promote later shopping hours on Wednesdays in Sewickley.

"Chocolate Walk will be a fun, family-friendly event the evening before Valentine's Day, where people can sample all kinds of unique chocolates while visiting the businesses in the Village," she said.

Village Candy and Cocothé are providing discounts to other participating businesses.

The Chocolate Walk concept is quite similar to Sewickley's annual Wine Walk. Upon registering at Wolcott Park, DeLoia said guests will be provided a map detailing the various stops. At the end of the event, participants can turn in their signed maps to be entered into a raffle. A name will randomly be drawn to win a sweet surprise, she said.

Tickets are available online at ShowClix.com for $5. Type in the keywords "Sewickley Chocolate Walk."

Only a limited number of tickets will be available. Children under the age of 10 receive free admission, but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
