Viewfinder: Resurrecting Stained Glass

Glass Works Studios in Pittsburgh works to restore stained-glass windows Thursday at Sewickley United Methodist Church.

For two years, a crew from Glass Works Studios of Pittsburgh has been working on removing and re-letting stained glass windows at Sewickley United Church on the corner of Broad and Thorn streets.

The lengthy-process involves taking down the glass, putting the glass in an acid bath, then hand-painting the windows and replacing the metal in between.

Donor names are also being added to the bottom of each window.
