Bruegger's Celebrates Labor Day With Bagels

Sewickley and other area Bruegger's bakeries this weekend will host a fundraising event to support UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.

This Labor Day weekend, Bagels is planning to donate a portion of its proceeds to UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh in honor of Pittsburgh’s hard-working families. 

Bruegger's on Beaver Street in is one of 18 bakeries in the Pittsburgh region participating in the "Big Bagle Bundle" fundraiser, which runs Friday to Monday.

A portion of every "Big Bagel Bundle" purchased at a participating Bruegger's will be donated. Big Bagel Bundles offer customers 13 bagels to choose from and two tubs of cream cheese. Through the fundraiser, Bruegger’s hopes to help Children’s Hospital provide world-class care to patients and families.

Bruegger's in the Pittsburgh community have refurbished its local bakeries, renovations that are expected to be complete in early September, according to a news release. The bakeries plan to celebrate by hosting a variety of events throughout the month, all benefiting Children's Hospital.

The Labor Day weekend event is the first. The month culminates on Sept. 28 with another fundraiser for Children’s Hospital and another offer -- a free bagel and cream cheese (skinny or regular) for customers.
