A Wexford woman, who claims she was fired after refusing to get a Brazilian wax and refusing to perform a Brazilian wax on co-workers, is suing the European Wax Center at 4868 McKnight Road, KDKA-TV reports.

Jennifer Finley was hired last fall, and was in day two of her training when she learned it would be very hands on.

“We were going to be performing Brazilian waxes on each other," she told KDKA. "And as soon as I found out, I said I’m not going to have that done on myself.”

A Brazilian was involves hair removal from certain sensitive and private body parts.

The lawsuit, filed in civil court, says Finley was fired when she refused to wax or be waxed by co-workers.

“I was willing to have different parts of my body waxed, my eyebrows. I was not willing to have a Brazilian wax," she told KDKA. "I knew we were going to be practicing on each other, but nothing was set it stone that it was mandatory.”

Finley says when she expressed her concerns to center owner Ryan Galstein, he immediately fired her. Galstein had no comment on the lawsuit.

Finley's lawyer, Janice Russell, told KDKA  the suit involves sexual harassment, wrongful termination, gender discrimination, and retaliation.
