News Nearby: The Meadows to Host Pennsylvania’s Largest-Ever Blackjack Tournament

There is a guaranteed prize pool of $200,000; with a top prize of $100,000.

 will host the largest-ever blackjack tournament in Pennsylvania beginning April 7 with multi-day satellite tournaments—concluding with the main event on June 10. 

In addition to invited guests, all Meadows patrons will be given the chance to earn invites to the satellite tournaments by playing table gamesduring set qualifying dates.

“Table games have significantly grown in popularity since (their) introduction to Pennsylvania in 2010,” said Sean Sullivan, vice president and general manager of The Meadows. “We expect a tournament of this significance to draw participation throughput the entire tri-state area.”

The three satellite tournaments will consist of a total 90 players each with the first-place winner of each tournament earning $10,000. 

Eighteen players from each satellite tournament will advance to the main event scheduled to begin June 9—with all vying for the top prize of $100,000. The second-place prize is $25,000, and the third-place prize is $15,000.

Satellite 1-Saturday, April 7

Qualifying period will be from March 11 - March 31

Satellite 2-Saturday, April 28

Qualifying period will be from April 1 – April 21

Satellite 3-Saturday, May 19

Qualifying period will be from April 22 – May 12

Main Event-Saturday June 9
