Patch Poll Results: Cyber Monday Appeals to Shoppers

Looks like you were spending money online on Monday.

Our Patch Poll asked whether you would be doing holiday shopping online during what's known as . Our results show 66 percent of voters were planning to do some computer browsing—and buying—on Web sites.

That falls in line with what the experts are saying about the success of Cyber Monday. Early indications are that Cyber Monday sales were up about 15 percent over the same day last year.

Couple that with sales, said to be up 20 percent over 2010, and we might soon hear the experts saying the economy was goosed last weekend, in a good way.
