Sewickley Academy Senior School to Present 'Mame'

The musical is free and open to the public.

Sewickley Academy Senior School students will present the musical, Mame, at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 7 through Saturday March 9 in Rea Auditorium.

Mame is based on the 1955 novel Auntie Mame by Patrick Dennis and a 1956 Broadway play by Lawrence and Lee that starred Rosalind Russell.

Set in New York and spanning the Great Depression and World War II, it focuses on eccentric bohemian, Mame Dennis, whose life is interrupted when the son of her late brother is sent to live with her.

Mame teaches Patrick the importance of individuality and of living life to the fullest as they cope with the Depression through a series of adventures.

The musical is free and open to the public. To reserve tickets, visit www.sewickley.org/tickets.
