Sewickley Children's Boutique Opens Today

The affordable, modern boutique for children and babies opening its doors today is the brainchild of owner Kelsey Rhea.
“I’ve always had a passion to open a children’s store, and it is even more special that I can do it in the community that I live in,” Rhea said.

Rhea grew up in Western Pennsylvania and currently serves on the Sewickley Tree Commission. She is also president of the Newcomers & Neighbors of Sewickley and a member of both the and the .
Rhea, who has a 2-year-old daughter, said she made the decision to open a boutique after she found so few with quality clothing at affordable prices.

“We will not only sell affordable clothing and accessories, but [items] will be aesthetically pleasing, and we will carry organic brands as well,” Rhea said.
The store’s merchandise will also include shoes, baby bibs, backpacks, socks and gift items for babies and children in sizes ranging from newborn to size 6. Brands include Mini & Maximus, Kate Quinn Organics and Baby Eggi.
The boutique will also hold a at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 20. The mayor will be on hand for a ribbon-cutting ceremony, refreshments will be provided by , and there will be face painting, balloons and a chance to win Pirates tickets.
