Unique Boutique: Pursenalities, Carabella and Three Sister 3

In anticipation of the 12th annual Unique Boutique, Patch is featuring a few of the businesses leading up to Saturday's event.

Fifty vendors are slated to attend Saturday's 12th annual Unique Boutique at the Edgeworth Club.

They range from adult and children's clothing to gourmet food, home décor and jewelry. They feature nationally-known products or specially crafted items.

Each vendor has a unique business story in how they began. Today, we feature three of the vendors, including a hometown seller, that will be at the 12th annual Unique Boutique.

After 24 years, Carolyn .  In her spare time, she started to make purses. She loved doing it but soon had far too many purses for her own use.  She began selling her purses at Gallery G Squared in Ligonier and at Toadflax in Shadyside.

Korb of Pursenalities is thrilled to be a vendor at the Unique Boutique and see friends from the Sewickley area.

Carabella - With changes in economy, increased price of gas and expansion of malls, Carabella developed a new service for their customers.

Carabella “At Your Service” is the mobile division of Carabella of Oakmont, one of Pittsburgh’s women’s specialty stores. The mobile team of Carabella “At Your Service” brings the store to events, parties, fashion shows, fundraisers and whatever event customers dream up.

Carabella tries to bring a great assortment of trendy fashions from casual to cocktail, in sizes 0-16.  They provide complimentary alterations, returns are easy and service is a big part to Carabella’s success both to the customer and to the community.

Three Sister 3 started by three sisters from Virginia. They started making cheese straws from their grandmother’s recipe and using her antique cookie press. For years, the three sisters made cheese straws for family and friends.  In 2008, Three Sisters 3 started their commercial production and in 2010 received the award of Virginia’s Finest. Cheese Straws are a Southern savory treat and enjoyed with a cocktail or glass of wine.
