Village Candy Celebrates Spring with a Root Beer Tasting

The tasting runs 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. April 21 at the old-fashioned soda and candy shop.

will be conducting another in its unique soda tasting series, this time reverting to its most popular passion: Root Beer.

The tasting runs from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, April 21. As always, this event is free and open to the public, but you must email  rootbeer@villagecandy.com to register.

Root beer has consistently been the favorite varietal among the customers of Village Candy’s extensive soda pop offering that numbers over 150 individual kinds.

Each of their past "Root Beer" have drawn more than 200 participants, and this one should once again be a hit.

Some of the current new brews include Bundaberg from Australia; Crater Lake from Oregon; Waialua from Hawaii; and Dang Butterscotch Root Beer.

The tasting provides a great way to test and compare multiple brands of one of America’s favorite soft drinks.

Village Candy is an old-time, new-fangled retail shop in downtown Sewickley specializing in a unique selection of retro bulk and novelty candy, artisan chocolates, glass-bottled pop and candy-themed gifts.
