The space is filled with loads of unique new and vintage finds. Everything from accent pillows to coffee tables is artfully arranged in the store, inviting shoppers to use their ingenuity to create a little excitement in their own house — or someone else’s. Be sure to check the tables and corners for interesting one-of-a-kind gifts.

If creativity is not your thing or time is not on your side, Franks and Bordeau will do the designing for you. On-site services include color consultation, home staging and interior design.

Rather than subscribing to any one design philosophy, the owners say they help clients discover their own style and work with them to update their home interiors. They say they help customers to focus on the things they love and the things they need within their homes, bring in color and remix their pieces to alter the setting.

These two moms have former careers in corporate buying and visual merchandising/management, so the store concept was a natural evolution for them.

Bordeau and Franks said they wanted everyone to feel comfortable in their store. They are striving to create an approachable and affordable destination for all with a motto: “You love your home, we love to help.”

The carefully curated collection is eclectic and offers a variety of price points.

Spice up any space with House 15143 specialty items. Choose from personalized pieces of framed artwork, pillows and accessories that can incorporate customer’s names, home address numbers and ZIP codes. Colors can also coordinate with their interiors.

A couple of cool things to note: There is a paint bar with eight seasonal and eight industry favorites. Customers can take paint chips home and have the colors mixed in any paint store.

There is also a “wish list.” Customers add their favorite past or present items, and the ladies will shop for them.

“Everyone struggles to prioritize their time and spending," Franks said. "We provide customers with a road map to create surroundings they love. We save them time, help them remix pieces they already own, and fill in the gaps."

What would a house be without House Rules? Here are the rules that govern House 15143: Old is new, less is more, color is king, flowers are fresh, mix and match, reuse and reinvent, play with pattern, stage to sell, find your style and love your home.
