Hi there! My name is Otis.
I am an 8-year-old black and tan Miniature Pinscher. A great soul singer who was also named Otis sang about how you have to “try a little tenderness.” Boy, that sounds good to me! I’ve had a tough life and could use some love and tenderness myself!
Originally I was found on a porch as a stray and brought to Animal Friends in 2006. I was adopted into a great home but my owners had to give me up recently when they became too sick.

As a result I can be a little timid when I first meet people … can you blame me? I’m also blind in one eye so I can startle easily. But if I’m around people I trust and in a place I know, I do just fine.
I’m looking to settle down into a nice, relaxed home that will be mine forever. I’m very sociable and want attention once I get to know my people. I don’t love other dogs, although I could get along well enough to live with one, as long as they’re quiet and calm. I mainly just want to relax and spend time with you!
